Terms and conditions for using our services

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SOS Guitar's website and guitar lesson services. By booking a lesson or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services

SOS Guitar provides:

  • One-to-one guitar lessons (acoustic and electric)
  • Online lessons via Zoom
  • Parent and child lessons
  • Gift cards for lessons

All lessons are provided by Harry, a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors at the London College of Music and the Musician's Union.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: Lessons can be booked by contacting us via email at sosguitaruk@gmail.com.
  • Payment: Payment is due before or at the time of the lesson unless otherwise agreed. We accept PayPal and bank transfer.
  • Prices: Current prices are displayed on our website. We reserve the right to change prices with reasonable notice.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • By Student: Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged in full.
  • By Tutor: In the rare event that I need to cancel a lesson, you will be offered a full refund or a rescheduled session at a mutually convenient time.
  • No-shows: If you do not attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.

5. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased.
  • Gift cards have no expiry date.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Gift cards are transferable to another person.

6. Online Lessons (Zoom)

  • You are responsible for having a stable internet connection and suitable device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone with camera).
  • Technical issues on your end that prevent the lesson from taking place may still be charged.
  • Zoom is a third-party service; please review their terms of service separately.

7. Lesson Content

  • Lesson materials provided are for personal use only and may not be redistributed.
  • Recording of lessons is not permitted without prior written consent.
  • Lesson content is tailored to individual students and remains the intellectual property of SOS Guitar.

8. Health and Safety

  • For in-person lessons, please inform me of any relevant health conditions or disabilities that may affect your learning.
  • If you are unwell, particularly with contagious conditions, please reschedule your lesson.

9. Liability

  • SOS Guitar is not liable for any injury or damage to personal property during lessons unless caused by negligence on our part.
  • Students are responsible for their own instruments and equipment.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and design, is the property of SOS Guitar and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
